Every year Yerevan hosts the most Armenian event - Yerevan Taraz Fest. The festival is organized by the Municipality of Yerevan and the Teryan Cultural Center.
The event consists of two parts. The first part is an exhibition-fair, after which new collections of Armenian designers are presented.
At the exhibition-fair, besides the Armenian Taraz, representatives of the embassies in the Republic of Armenia also present their national culture in separate pavilions. In the second part of the festival, famous Armenian designers present their new collections with the elements of Taraz that are often real works of art.
Yerevan Taraz Fest is a good opportunity to get acquainted with traditional Armenian ornaments and understand their significance and meaning.
