Yerevan, one of the oldest cities in the world, was founded in the 8th century B.C. (782) and was named Erebuni. "Erebuni-Yerevan" is the birthday of the capital of Armenia, which is celebrated every year in October.
The celebration has been held since 1968 and is accompanied by a variety of events and festive fireworks.
