Ruben Vardanyan Life
Vardanyan was born on 25 May 1968 in Yerevan. He graduated from the school with a gold medal then became a soldier in the Soviet Army. After the service, he entered the Moscow State University and studied economics.
Ruben Vardanian also attended some courses, training, and various programs related to the markets organized by different universities. Later in his career, Vardanyan used all the skills he had gained. Maybe it was the secret to his success.
Ruben Vardanian Career
Early in his career, RubenVardanian served on the boards of the organization and infrastructure of Russia’s security market. He was familiar with the biggest Russian companies.
From the foundation of the “Troika Dialogue” company, Ruben Vardanian was the director of the IPO (Initial Public Offering) division in 1991-1992. In 1992, he became the CEO of the company until 2012 when the company was sold to Sberbank and Vardanian became a partner.
Meanwhile being the CEO of Troika, Ruben was the general director at “Rosgosstrakh”. In 2013, together with some partners, Ruben co-founded an investment company called “Vardanyan, Broitman, and Partners”.
Currently, Vardanyan is a board member at “Kamaz”, and Ameriabank in Armenia. Ruben is also a member of the board of trustees of the Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Ruben Vardanyan is also the head of the editorial board of BRICS Business Magazine.

A great portion of Ruben Vardanyan’s projects is related to the educational scope in Armenia, Russia, and the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States). He is a founder, partner, and the deputy chairman of the international advisory board of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO.

Humanitarianism
The “100 LIVES” initiative was launched in New York in 2015. This global project that was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide laid a foundation for the “Aurora Humanitarian Initiative”.
Based on the Aurora Humanitarian Initiative, the annual award ceremony “Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity” was created. Vardanyan was one of the founders of this great project. The “Aurora prize” is annually awarded in the capital of Armenia to reveal the current heroes and appreciate their activities to preserve human lives.
The award was named to honor Aurora Mardiganian. This is a person, who played an important role in increasing public awareness towards the Armenian Genocide. Since 2016, cooperating with some organizations, the Aurora prize delivers health, education, and community health to the world.
Together with his wife, Ruben Vardanyan established the Scolae Mundi foundation for new educational initiatives assisting on a non-profit basis.
Social Entrepreneurship
Vardanian is an Armenian-Russian social entrepreneur. He is the co-founder of the IDeA (Initiatives for Development of Armenia) charitable foundation which aims at the development of Armenia due to the long-term projects. One of the most important purposes of the IDeA Foundation is the preservation of the Armenian cultural and spiritual heritage not only in Armenia but also spread all over the world.
The construction of the “Wings of Tatev” - the longest reversible ropeway in the world which leads to the Tatev Monastery is also implemented by Vardanyan and some partners. This is a part of the project “Tatev Revival”.
Ruben Vardanian is also an initiator of the “Armenia-2020” project that was expanded to the “Armenia-2031”. These programs aim at generating scenarios for the further development of the Armenian state and nation as a whole.
Innovation
Ruben Vardanian is active in current high technological trends and innovations as well. In 2016, together with some partners, he launched the project FAST (Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology).
The program aimed at founding an ecosystem that drives technological innovations as well as scientific advancement in the Armenian Republic and not only.
