Nagorno Karabakh is indescribable beautiful. One month is not enough to discover the full beauty of it. But we will try to make most of our 5-days hiking tour. The main goal of this hike is to climb the highest peak of Artsakh; Dizapayt, located in the southern part.

Tour Plan

Nagorno Karabakh is indescribable beautiful. One month is not enough to discover the full beauty of it. But we will try to make most of our 5-days hiking tour. The main goal of this hike is to climb the highest peak of Artsakh; Dizapayt, located in the southern part. 

  1. Day 1: Arrival

    Transfer from the airport to the hotel. A walk in Yerevan.


  2. Day 2: A walk in Shushi

    We will leave Yerevan for the beautiful city of Shushi at 6:30 am.

    There we will visit Ghazanchetsots Holy Savior Church and St. Hovhannes (Kanach Jam - Green clock), upper and inner mosques, Shushi Castle. We will have a walk-in Shushi, visit Jdrduz where you will see the Hunot gorge with its all beauty.

    From there, we will move to the south. Our stop will be at the 2030-years-old tree, called Tnjri. Next stop is Togh. In the village, we will see St.Stepanos church (13th century) and the palace of Meliks. Right from Togh we will start our hike to Gtchavank. This church is the most exceptional building in Artsakh.

    We will spend the night in Hadrut. Length of the route 12km.


  3. Day 3: Rising Dizapayt mountain

    After breakfast, we will visit Spitak Khach church, and have a walk in the city. We will see 850 years-old plane tree.

    From Hadrut we will move to the mountains and start our mountain hiking to Dizapayt mountain (2478 m). The most higher grounded church in Nagorno Karabagh is located on the peak of the mountain, called Katarovank. From mountain peak opens a breathtaking view towards Araks valley, Artsakh’s lowland and Syunats mountains.

    In the evening we will have a walk in the city. We will spend the night in Stepanakert. Length of the route -8 km


  4. Day 4: Visit to Martakert

    Early in the morning, we will move to Hunot Gorge.

    Right in the heart of the gorge, we will see the hidden beauty waterfall-cavern, called Hovanotsner. The locals call it mossy stone. We will also see the ruins of Hunot village and the standing bridge of Karkar river.

    Then, we will move to Vank village, Martakert. In the town is one of the seven wonders of Armenian architecture Gandzasar monastery complex. We will also see rocky lion monument.

    We return to Yerevan into Karvachar. Our stop is in Dadivank, which is located on the left bank of Trtu river. We will be in Yerevan late in the evening.


  5. Day 5: Departure Transfer to the airport, flight
