The Gegharot Waterfall is located on the slope of Mount Aragats, on the Gegharot stream of the same name (one of the tributaries of the Kasagh), at an altitude of about 3,000 meters above sea level, in the Aragatsotn Province, about 12 kilometers from the village of Aragats. The waterfall's height is about 17 meters.
By a decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia adopted on August 14, 2008, the waterfall was included in the list of state natural monuments. To reach the waterfall, one can drive about 9 km from the village of Aragats (by off-road vehicle) and then walk the remaining 2 km on foot.
