5th International Festival of Crafts in Meghri

  • 16 May - 17 May
  • Meghri
  • Organizer: Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia

This weekend, the southern Armenian town of Meghri will come alive with color, creativity, and tradition as it hosts the 5th International Festival of Crafts on May 16–17, 2026.

Held under the theme “Creative Community, Sustainable Future,” the two-day festival will bring together around 40 artisans from Armenia, CIS countries, Georgia, and Iran.

Visitors can explore an exhibition and craft fair featuring nearly 20 different forms of folk art, including ceramics, embroidery, carpet weaving, woodwork, and blacksmithing.

Beyond the artisan displays, the festival will offer hands-on master classes, traditional Armenian music and dance performances, and dedicated food areas showcasing local and regional cuisine.

As the CIS Cultural Capital of 2026, Meghri is the perfect place to host this special event. The festival brings together artists from different countries to share their traditions, crafts, and culture.

The goal of the festival is to help keep traditional arts alive, bring people from different cultures together, and attract more visitors to Armenia’s beautiful southern region.

If you enjoy handmade crafts, tasty traditional food, and cultural performances, this festival is a great reason to visit Meghri this spring.
