Lastiver lies in the Tavush region, in a deep, forested ravine near Enokavan. Its principal historical-cultural monument is a complex of cave dwellings carved into the rock, long also called "Anapat" by locals.
The path runs through forest and gorge to the cave complex and a waterfall. According to tradition, reaching the hard-to-access cave required rafts made of tree branches, climbed "up the raft" (last-i-ver) — giving the place its name. The water forms several cascading sections over rock steps and small drops, and the trail alternates views of the gorge, dense forest, rock-cut caves, and the Sarnajur River.
