The Surb Gevorg (St. George) church is located in the village of Aygeshat, Armavir province. It was built in 1854. During the Soviet years it was closed and, like a number of other churches and monasteries, used as a warehouse. Renovation was completed in 2007, after which it was reopened and reconsecrated by Bishop Sion Adamyan, Primate of the Diocese of Armavir.
