Parz Lake-Gosh Lake hike (Transcaucasian Trail)

This roughly 9.7 km trail in the Tavush region connects Parz Lake, inside Dilijan National Park, with the village of Gosh and Lake Gosh. The route runs through mixed forest, crosses several streams, and gains around 450 m in elevation before descending toward Gosh village, home to the medieval Goshavank Monastery complex. What you can do: hike between the two lakes through forest terrain, stop at streams, see khachqars along the way, and finish at Goshavank Monastery near Lake Gosh.

Anapat Cave hike (Ijevan State Park)

Anapat Cave sits within the Ijevan State Sanctuary near the village of Yenokavan and the Lastiver recreation area, along the Khachaghbyur river gorge. The cave contains a carved bas-relief depicting a wedding scene; despite claims sometimes made about a pre-Christian origin, the carving was made in 1976 by Armenian sculptor Benik Petrosyan. What you can do: enjoy the magnificent views of nature, visit caves, and see the Lastiver waterfalls, spend the night in eco-lodges, and enjoy the evening around the campfire.

Yenokavan-Lastiver caves & waterfall hike

This hike follows the Khachaghbyur gorge near the village of Yenokavan in Tavush Province, about 140 km from Yerevan. The name "Lastiver" ("up the raft/dam") refers to a ladder of stacked logs that locals historically built to reach shelter caves in the cliffs — caves once inhabited by hermits and, according to some accounts, used as refuge during the Mongol invasions of the 13th–14th centuries. The trail passes wooden treehouses and ends at a waterfall at the lowest point of the gorge. What you can do there: hike roughly 7 km through the forested gorge, climb the log ladder to the hermit caves, and optionally ride the zipline strung across the gorge.

Camping at Parz Lake / Dilijan NP

The Parz Lich rest area sits beside Parz Lake, inside Dilijan National Park in the Tavush region, roughly 9 km from Dilijan town. It combines wooden cabins with a designated tent-camping area, alongside the lake's restaurant and boat rental. What you can do: camp overnight in a wooden cabin or your own tent beside the lake, eat at the on-site restaurant, and walk the surrounding forest trails.

Boating on Parz Lake

Parz Lake is a small forest lake in Dilijan National Park, roughly 300 m long and 100 m wide, fed by natural springs, with an average depth of about 3 meters. Paddle boats and catamarans are available for rent at the lakeside. What you can do: rent a paddle boat or catamaran and row or pedal across the lake, surrounded by forest.

Zipline over Parz Lake

Parz Lich Extreme Park offers a zipline near Lake Parz in Dilijan National Park. The length of the zipline is 600 meters. In addition to the zipline, it is also possible to go through a 17-stage rope park, an 8-stage children's rope park, or spend time in a water ball.

Off-road Yell Truck ride

The Yell Truck off-road ride is a roughly 40-minute drive through forest and mountain trails above the park in an open-sided converted Kamaz truck. The ride requires a minimum age of 10, and each truck carries up to 19 passengers. The price includes the zipline, via ferrata, and the off-road tour. What you can do: ride through forest and mountain trails above the park in the open-sided off-road truck, taking in views over the Tavush countryside.

Via Ferrata at Yell Extreme Park

The via ferrata route at Yell Extreme Park is a secured path across a rock face near the park, using fixed cables, rungs and ladders. The activity lasts about 30–40 minutes under instructor supervision, and requires a minimum age of 18 and a maximum body weight of 98 kg. The price include that for Zipline, Via Ferrata, and Off-Road. What you can do: climb across otherwise inaccessible rock terrain using the fixed protection system, with safety equipment supplied.
