Tour program

Day 1

Stop 1.Day 1: Yerevan arrival

Arrival at Zvartnots International airport. After airport formalities meet your guide and transfer to Yerevan.

Day 2

Stop 1.Day 2: Yerevan City Tour

Start exploring Yerevan, Armenia's capital city and one of the oldest cities in the world. Drive to visit the Victory Park and Mother Armenia monument. Visit Cascade Complex, home to the Sculpture Park and the Cafesjian Center for the Arts. Continue with a walking tour of the city centre, then visit Vernissage Market, Armenia's largest open-air market, followed by the Farmer Market Gum. End the day with a visit to the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex, located on the hills of Tsitsernakaberd.

Day 3

Stop 1.Day 3: Yerevan - Zvartnots - Echmiatsin - Winery - Yerevan

Drive to visit the 7th-century ruins of Zvartnots Cathedral. Then continue to visit Echmiatsin - the administrative and spiritual centre of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Visit Mother Cathedral and museum inside the church, where the main relics of Armenian Apostolic Church are preserved. Continue to the local winery for wine tasting. Return to Yerevan.

Day 4

Stop 1.Day 4: Yerevan - Khor Virap - Areni-1 Cave - Noravank - Winery visit - Goris

Drive to the southern part of Armenia. Visit Khor Virap Monastery, where Mt. Ararat reveals its breathtaking size and splendor. Drive to visit the Areni 1 Birds Cave. Afterwards, drive through the scenic upper Amaghou Valley to visit Noravank Monastery. Then visit the local Family Winery, known for its delicious dry red wines. Drive to Goris.

Day 5

Stop 1.Day 5: Goris - Khndzoresk - Tatev Monastery - Goris

Drive to Khndzoresk cave city. Then continue to one of the most spectacular and impressive places in Armenia - Tatev Monastery. Take the cable car Wings of Tatev to fly over Vorotan gorge and visit the complex.

Day 6

Stop 1.Day 6: Goris - Zorats Qarer - Vardenyats Pass - Dilijan

Drive to Zorats Qarer that is often called the Armenian Stonehenge. Drive to Dilijan via the Vardenyats (Selim) Mountain Pass. On the way visit Orbelian's Caravanserai.

Day 7

Stop 1.Day 7: Dilijan - Lake Sevan - Yerevan

Drive to visit Old Sharambeyan Street. Then depart to visit Lake Sevan and Sevanavank Monastery, beautifully situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake. Continue to Yerevan.

Day 8

Stop 1.Day 8: Yerevan - Garni - Symphony of Stones - Geghard - Yerevan Departure

Drive to visit one of Armenia's oldest buildings, the 1st-century Garni Pagan Temple. Next explore Garni Gorge and marvel at the breathtaking vertical cliffs of octagonal basalt columns, known as the Symphony of Stones. Afterwards visit a local village home for taking part in the traditional Armenian bread-making experience. Then continue to visit the 13th century cave Monastery of Geghard (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Return to Yerevan. Free time before departure. Transfer to Zvartnots International airport. Departure from Yerevan.
