“The menu was great: lots of variety, but not overwhelming. We had a lot of meals here, each one was delicious. The breakfasts are wonderful. The soups and salads are delicious with lots of fresh herbs. The stews and barbecued meat tasty and filling. The local wine was also delicious. If you are chilly there are blankets. It is much more peaceful than the places nearer the monastery. Highly recommended.”
“We arrived in Tatev late in the evening — it was dark, foggy, and drizzling. We were looking for a place to grab a bite and maybe have a glass of wine to lift our spirits and warm the soul. Anna’s little Café Center in Tatev felt like a cathedral in the desert. Anna is the kind of host everyone hopes to meet: warm, engaging, and able to create a joyful, welcoming atmosphere among strangers. She speaks several languages, which helps her effortlessly bridge cultural gaps. The food is lovingly prepared by her sweet mother, whose shy smile could melt anyone’s heart. We truly felt at home. Thank you!”
“I visited this village restaurant hoping for a warm and welcoming experience, but the staff's behavior was disappointing. They were unwelcoming and inattentive, which affected the overall atmosphere. The food was decent, but the poor service overshadowed it. I expected better hospitality from a village setting. I hope they improve their customer service as it could make a big difference”
“Friendly welcome and good Armenian family cuisine. We appreciated the interior setting with the stove which heats well. The lady lost her husband and runs her little café restaurant really well.”
“It was great place to rest and enjoyed the nice food that was served . There was a very homely feel to it and Anna with the local youth were working on some community solidarity building activity so I got a sense of the social landscape. Definitely recommended for the food and good hospitality. I visited the place in the summer of 2019 .Thanks again.”
“Tatev Information Center is composed of a scenic view, hospitable people and a very delicious food to eat. It was since about 2-3 years the last time we visited the place but Anna sister and her Mom was very pleasing taking care of the guest coming in the cafe to make the experience of every tourist a more memorable and convenient. It was a good time when we visited again 2 days ago, Anna is great to accommodate different nationalities as she can speaks 6 languages and fluent including English. Thank you and we recommend this place to visit. See you again soon..Thank you.”
“Anna and her mom are two amazing hosts. Anna speaks 6 different languages so I'm sure you'll be able to have a nice conversation with her. The food is very good, and the pastries.. they are delicious ! I was travelling alone and this place felt a bit like a home for a few days. Thank you for everything !”
“A very lovely evening with dear Anna & her mom. Not only the food but also their friendly behavior impressed us. I really loved the food. And the Gata bread with wulnut …. It was fabulous. I hope one day again I can come to your cozy caffe.”
“My husband and I were on our way to the monastery with two big backpacks when a kind lady greeted us with a smile from the courtyard of the information center, which was so Heart-warming. Our das already starten in another way. We asked several Planes next to the monastery if they could take care of our backpacks so that we could go hiking, and they all refused until I told my husband that the lady who greeted us in the morning could eventually help us. We came back and asked her, while she kindly accepted our request. We just found out that there is a small restaurant there as well. We returned tired and hungry after the hike to pick up our things, but we decided to have lunch there and then continue on our way. The most delicious food we ate in our entire trip in Armenia was there: fresh grilled fish with rice and a delicious eggplant and tomato stew for a reasonable price. We talked to Anna and she gave us a lot of good information. Anna and her mother were an unforgettable part and one of the highlights of our trip.”
