“Rustic establishment where one sits comfortably and is served friendly. Communication worked in the end (when something was forgotten) with Google Translator. The food was average; however, the lamb kebab was very disappointing, almost inedible. The dishes were served one after another with large intervals. The grilled vegetables were forgotten and were therefore served at the very end, but almost cold (perhaps that is how it is meant to be). Perhaps it is necessary to say that one wants to eat bread, vegetables, and meat together. So far, we have always experienced it differently. Many guests, such as a group of friends, arrived after 9 PM and mainly had something to drink. It is a cozy place for that.”

“Poor service. There's almost no menu. The menu itself is labeled and price tagged. Anyway, not the best place. Looking at the ratings, I expected otherwise, but in reality, it's just a very weak diner. Not so good. If you're very hungry, you can.”

“Food was rather on average but service terrible. Lady that served us looked like we were bothering her, forgot to bring 2 from 4 meals including water. When I asked her when we can get ordered meal she started to argue that we did not order. After brief speculation she left angry for kitchen to order our meal. Negative “icing on the cake” was that lady without any notice took my meal before I finished it. Interior and look of the restaurant was good but due to terrible service never more!”

“The food was very tasty, everything was delicious. The place was nicely decorated and music was good as well. The prices were reasonable.”

“The photos are accurate to the description, so I won't post new ones. The restaurant was very nice, we ordered Caesar, Khinkali and Ojahuri. A large portion of Caesar, full, if we were not very hungry, then he would be enough for dinner, the khinkali were also delicious, as the children said, as were the ojahuri. In the ojahuri, the meat was a bit stiff and in my opinion undercooked, but the portion is also quite large and the dish was delicious overall. On the last point about the stiffness of the meat, we approached the waiter. She listened to us patiently, said delicately that she would pass it on to the cook, without resentment, without raising her voice, and that was it. All the dishes were delivered on time, almost simultaneously, not long to wait, although it was the eleventh hour in the yard. On the whole, very pleased. We can safely recommend it.”

“Dishes without much interest, very cold welcome, impossible to take dessert despite several à la carte proposals and a restaurant still open. In short, it was all very disappointing.”

“I would like to say that after reading all the great reviews on trip advisor for Takarik restaurant, my husband and I wanted to give it a try while we were in Goris as there aren’t many restaurants. Well, we were very surprised. As we entered we asked if they take credit cards because most of the places were only taking cash, the person in the front said we don’t take Visa and at this point we were low on cash, then he proposed to try the card to see if it works and it did. So we ordered our food and the house wine because they didn’t want to open other bottles. The wine was really bad, we couldn’t drink it and said please bring us a beer. The server left the glasses on our table and didn’t bother to take them away. Then everything we ordered all came at the same time, assortment of cheese plate which was just one kind of cheese, soup, salad and stuffed grape leaves with meat, by the time we started to eat our grape leaves, it was cold, plus usually sarma is served with a side of garlic yogurt which they didn’t serve. At the end looking at our bill we were charged for the 2 glasses of wine and bread as well. But we didn’t want to argue or complain because they didn’t bother to apologize about the wine or anything else. I thought I needed to write a review and explain exactly what happened. On another note the soups and the salad tasted good but the whole experience was not pleasant.”

“We went with friends to Goris on March 8-9: on the first day we stopped at a tavern for dinner, and we really liked it there, so the next day after visiting Tatev we specially returned for lunch. The prices were very good. I really liked the rich, thick borscht with a lot of meat, which I ordered both days. And my friends, having tried one of the Armenian specialties - lamajo flatbreads - ordered as many as five of them! They also liked Khorovats (kebab). They cook quickly, the portions are large (a small portion of salad corresponds to two standard servings in St. Petersburg; I’m afraid to guess how many people a large portion is meant for!), the staff is very polite and hospitable. I highly recommend the place!”
