“Stunning mountain views and a beautiful interior. The atmosphere is truly special, but the food was good - around 4/5. Accepted only cash.”

“The worst restaurant in Armenia, terrible service, the guests waited a very long time cuz a busload of tourists arrived, terribly expensive prices, plus at the end they brought the check with inflated prices”

“The best restaurant in Armenia! I swear, I almost cried at the pleasure, at such delicious food🤌🏻🤤 especially thank you waiter Tzovik, she's just the best!!!”

“Visiting Geghard Restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip! The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, authentic, and full of flavor – but what truly made the experience unforgettable was the hospitality. The lady who owns the restaurant is one of the warmest and most welcoming people we have ever met. She greeted us with such kindness and genuine care that we instantly felt at home. Her smile, generosity, and attention to detail turned a simple meal into a truly memorable experience. It felt less like dining at a restaurant and more like being welcomed into someone’s home. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and her warmth truly made our day. If you want not only excellent Armenian cuisine but also a heartwarming, personal experience, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!”

“Geghard is a place of power that every self-respecting person should visit, especially if they consider themselves at least somewhat spiritual. However, on the way to Geghard, there are Garni and the Symphony of Stones, which you must also visit. One thing though - you'll get hungry and tired. What should you do? If you want to eat truly delicious food while enjoying a fantastic view of the wondrous mountains and Geghard itself, along with first-class, hospitable service - the Geghard restaurant is exactly what you need. I've been living in Armenia for several years, and this is arguably the best restaurant in terms of quality and location. You won't dine like this in Yerevan :) Best wishes, we look forward to your visit!”

“The food in the restaurant was very good, but above all I loved the wonderful view, such a great panorama you rarely have when you go out to eat, great!”

“Loved everything: location, service and, of course, food. Lamb from the tandoor is a worthwhile treat! Ajap sandal Melts in the mouth. Fried puree and onions was the best thing! All staff are very attentive, served quickly and clearly. Special thanks to our waiter Andranik Muradhanian - he not only advised us on what to choose, but also told us the story of Gerard Temple👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻”

“A stone's throw from the monastery of Geghard, a picturesque terrace embellished with a stone oven where two diligent bakers prepare lavash. Highly recommended the leg of lamb washed down with a white “Sargon” (not the red, please, the white)”

“We were driving to the temple and on the way we saw this place and decided that on the way back we’d have dinner here. We were amazed by the beautiful view, so we didn’t even bother looking for reviews of the establishment. We were not allowed to have a net on the terrace overlooking the temple, although there were free tables. We were told that there was a reserve, although during the 1.5 years that we were there, no one sat there. They offered an option with the same view on the floor below, but a table there costs 5,000. And this is not a deposit, this is precisely the price for being allowed to sit there. This is the first time I’ve seen restaurants charge for a table with a view…. As a result, they scored and sat in another zone. We ordered grilled trout (on the menu it cost 6,000 per kg), asked for a kilogram, salads, beer and a liter of homemade compote. I asked for ice separately for the compote, they told me ok. It took a long time to carry the fish and the wait was not worth it - the fish was very dry, burnt in places. The salad is ordinary, but it is impossible to spoil it. I didn’t get any ice for the compote. Although she reminded me. As a result, they brought us a bill which, according to our estimates, was a bit expensive. Moreover, the entire bill is in Armenian, nothing is clear, but the most expensive dish cost 16,000, and we definitely didn’t order anything for that price... We thought that we should check it with the menu (suddenly we didn’t see a unit in the price for the fish) when we waved to the waiter and asked for a menu, he pretended that he didn’t see us and left... the next table was not cleared, so we ourselves took the menu from there, found the fish and no, it’s there in black and white, 6,000 per kg... our fish was definitely not 2.6 kg , there is 1 kg and that was a stretch, to be honest. They called the waiter and said there was a mistake in the light. With a dissatisfied face, he took the bill and said that he would correct it now and left... that is, he didn’t even have a question “where is the mistake,” which suggests that he already knew about it... Afterwards he returned with a check for 10,000 less, and did not even make an attempt to apologize or somehow make amends (as is customary to do in decent establishments). Moreover, all this was accompanied by a very dissatisfied expression on his face... We left there with a feeling of disappointment. I can safely say that this is the most disgusting establishment we have ever been to in Armenia. They are saved only by a stunning view of the mountains and a tourist spot nearby.”
