Shoghakavank

Shoghakavank is a small ruined monastery built in the 9th to 10th centuries near the village of Dzoragyugh, in the highlands above Lake Sevan. Today only fragments of its walls survive, but the remains, together with the old cemetery and weathered khachkars scattered around them, give the site a quiet, evocative atmosphere.
