Flyboarding in Armenia

Updated at April 21, 2026

If you want a real adrenaline rush, you have to try flyboarding. Imagine standing on a board that shoots you high into the air using water pressure. In Armenia, this happens at the stunning Lake Sevan. It is one of the coolest things to do during the Armenian summer.

Where Can You Do Flyboarding ?

The primary destination for flyboarding in Armenia is Lake Sevan. Because it is a high-altitude lake (1,900 meters above sea level), the air is thinner and the views of the surrounding mountains are incredible.

You can find flyboarding stations at these specific spots:

  1. The Sevan Peninsula: This is the most popular area. It is located near the famous Sevanavank Monastery. Most of the professional equipment and instructors are based on the beaches here.
  2. Public and Private Resort Beaches: Look for adventure hubs along the northern and western shores of the lake. Clubs like Sky Club Armenia often set up their equipment in these high-traffic areas.
  3. Artanish Shore: For a slightly quieter experience with amazing views of the Geghama Mountains, some operators move towards the Artanish area during the peak of summer (July and August).

How Much Does It Cost?

Prices are usually very reasonable compared to Europe or the US.

  1. A single session: Costs around 45,000 AMD (about $115 USD).
  2. What is included: This price usually covers your 20-minute flight, a life jacket, a helmet, and a quick lesson from a professional instructor.

The Experience: What to Expect

Your instructor will show you how to stand. The secret is to keep your legs straight and your body balanced. As the jet ski powers up, you will feel the water push against your feet. Slowly, you will rise out of the lake. Once you are steady, you can fly up to 10–15 meters high. If you are brave, you can try to spin or dive back into the water!

Pro-Tips for a Great Flight

  1. Watch the Clock: Try to go before 12:00 PM. In the afternoon, the wind at Lake Sevan can create waves, which makes flyboarding much harder for beginners.
  2. Wear a Wetsuit: Even in July, Sevan’s water can be refreshing (around 18°C to 22°C). Most clubs provide wetsuits to keep you comfortable.
  3. GoPro Ready: Most instructors are happy to film you, but make sure to ask beforehand so you can share your "superhero" moment.
