“We came across this beautiful restaurant during a tour with friends, we were fresh from a cheese tasting and a boat trip. The warm welcome no longer surprised us, a few days in Armenia had us used to this. Happy we asked to make a toast, we were offered the house wine that we loved. While we were still doing our cin-cins, the first dishes full of delicacies began to reach us; the vegetables in Armenia are extraordinary and here they were prepared excellently. We see then arrive the raw fish typical of the needle Sevan, marinated and smoked in different ways, was plentiful but we did not give him too much compliments in devouring it. We chose to continue with the white wine of the house also with the fish rolls wrapped in grape leaf. The fish soup of the great lake did not fail to amaze us. In the final part of the generous banquet, some of us wanted to go to the red of the house, we did a little 'Norwegian accompanying fish and vegetables with red wine that was also very good and very balanced, maybe the Norwegians are not wrong to accompany some types of fish with great red wines. Despite the much fish eaten none of us found even a small trace of bone, a demonstration of great care in the preparation. In short, it is worth a visit, among other things it is a high-level restaurant located in a place economically unlucky, the chef opened it precisely to give work the value to his native land, a great noble gesture. Even the desserts amazed us, as everything is internally prepared. I don't know how to explain in an empathic way why I particularly liked it, I try to put to music, imagine a concert by Charles Aznavour and Paolo Conte together, something extraordinary, right?! For us it was the worthy conclusion of a beautiful day, we regretted not having stayed there, because in addition to a restaurant it is also a first-class hotel. The shocking part is that you have drive through bare, dry and very unattractive village landscape to end up into this gorgeous guest house with absolutely delicious local food products and hoapitality. Totally worth it driving here and trying chefs offers. Definitely not another Sevan touristic attraction. Yes authentic!”
