“We went to the Byurakan Observatory, and when we were hungry we went to the Amberd Tavern. The place is beautiful, next to a small Inn of the same name with well maintained grounds and infrastructure. Cook quickly and deliciously, prices are reasonable. The tavern is clean and cozy, and you can watch lava and bread being baked in the tandoor. It is good that you cannot smoke in the establishment (for this fine of 50000 drams (about 130)), but for some reason you can yell at the top of your voice (good music was played, and some "jolly" guests yelled, believing that they were singing or singing...). “The best thing about this place is its views. Truly amazing. Mountain Ararat is just in front of you, together with endless green valleys in front. Food is good - nothing very special but overall tasty selection of Armenian bbq dishes”

“We get menu instantly, but after we discussed with my friends that we only want tea and maybe some dessert, nobody want to serve us. We asket 3 times to send some waiter to us,but they never sent. They just ignored us because one of the waiters are listen that we want only tea. After I saw that they just steering at us and laughing, we decided that we should left that place. They don't say anything when we are going to exit, no any excuses from their side. We were 9 people with kids and we will never come back to that place again.”
