Fourchette Buffet

“Almost every day I visit this restaurant for lunch,and every time I enjoy their food. There are lots of offers every day,and hardly ever I have seen there food of a bad quality.”

“We visited Fourchette once during a several week stay in Armenia. Westerners (American) should be aware that "Fourchette buffet" is not a "buffet" (self serve, single charge w\open unlimited selection) as the term is used in the states, but rather a "cafeteria" (open selection, pay per item) format. Regardless, it is VERY reasonably priced. The selection was excellent, although the staff understandably have limited English proficiency and the food labels are only in Armenian. Thus, except for obvious items like pizza, there is some adventure involved in making your choices. The quality\flavor was overall good, though a bit "hit or miss" across the items the six of us selected. Our concern was with the food temperature. Food prep requirements are not as stringent as in the states. There were several meat-containing items that were sitting unheated on top of the shelf. Against our better judgement a couple of us ordered these. They turned out to be quite cool to the touch and had likely been out for some time. We had "traveler's issues" for some time afterward.”

“Employees don’t pay attention on customers at all: talking to each other doing anything except paying attention to the customer. I waited 5 minutes till one of them came to me to ask what I want in case that there was no queue. Besides that the food......awful one. I got sick after few minutes of eating a salad.”

“We visited for a late lunch. There is a buffet with a wide choice of salads as well as main dishes like kebabs and chicken among other things. You tell the servers from behind the counter what you want and move on to choose your next item and then they tally what you have in your plate and you pay. We were 4 people and we had bountiful portions of many types of salads, as well as grilled chicken and sodas- we paid about 9000AMD or 19$ for the whole group. A word of caution- expect to wait a bit- may be 10 minutes- if you go there at about 1 or 1:30 pm. All in all, a clean, nice and affordable place to eat without waiting too much.”

Plenty of options to choose from. Recently they started serving also breakfast.
