About this restaurant
Ar Areni is a winery-restaurant in one of the most famous wine towns in Caucasus- Areni. Here you will have a chance to taste Armenian traditional dishes on the open-air pavilion near the vineyards, visit the cellar and get introduced with homemade wines from local grapes, also participate in traditional Armenian cooking classes. Our family is one of the oldest winemakers in the town.

“We stopped here as the last stop of our organized excursion, which also included Khor Virap and Noravank. Unfortunately, the ending left us literally with a bitter taste in our mouths: to think of having a tasting of 8 different wines (mostly bad, by the way) in less than 20 minutes and standing all around an old table in a small cellar makes no sense! Much better to avoid or propose something more pleasant, like an entire afternoon at the dentist...”
