TAVA is the real gastronomic pleasure at an atmospheric corner in Dilijan. Tava means a cast iron skillet, and here everything is chargrilled and cooked in our wood fired brick oven and served to your table with sizzling hot cast iron pans straight from the fire! We offer the most vibrant and present gastro scenario in Dilijan with both traditional food and flavours, and very bold, but already beloved modern creations.

“We spent 6 days in Dilijan, we ate every day in this restaurant. The menu is amazing, the cuisine is generous, tasty is refined. Our taste buds keep all the delicate flavor of Armenian cuisine. Don't forget to try their Gata and coffee, always served with a smile by a young and professional team. One of the best restaurants we have ever eaten. Thank you to the whole team for being part of our trip. Alessandro and Ema🇦🇲❤️”
“1. The dessert is delicious, the coffee was made as I wished. 2. They ordered water in bottles of their own spill. There were greens in one bottle and the water didn't taste good. When asked why the greens were in the bottle, they didn't tell us anything. There was no apology either. The bottle is dirty and stained. Why I had to pay for that water never understood! 3. On hot dishes, you could woven them after cooking to make them comfortable to eat from.”
“This is my 2nd review for Tava relocated and joined with Kchuch. Unfortunately, things became worse by time. Pros: - fantastic location, terrace and yard with fire place - authentic interior - nice and quiet background music Cons: - my opinion for food is controversial: some items we ordered were fresh and well-cooked while others (e.g. local mushrooms with cheese) were simply not fresh, almost dried out and barely warmed up. I suppose, leftovers from the prevous night. - everything is cooked in oven which I guess is one and always overloaded, so one has to wait quite long to get the food. Apart of this, the waiters slways emphasize that everything is cooked in oven - even coffee - and this is boring. Sometimes it looks like an apology now. - service sucks, guys. We came early on Friday night, there were 2 tables occupied, and service was absolutely slow. Imagine what the service looked like a couple of hours later when all tables were occupied. - waiters seem very tired, indifferent and shy - no recommendations, no smile, no desire to get more tips. - pretty much overpriced. We paid around 40K AMD for 2 salads, awfull mushrooms (left almost untouched) and pork, drinks included. A special note: I've carefully read other feedback on this place - mostly negative. It seems nobody cares about the customers' opinion. While it is important for any business to address some of the key points on service and food quality. Zero reflection from the management. Zero attempt to improve. Recommendation: - do not even step in. You're gonna be disappointed and extremely dissatisfied. P.S. Many of the clients visit you bearing in mind the old gold times when the Flying Oystrich was operating in the same place. The comparison is obviously not in favour of you. Try to improve and eliminate your shortcomings unless you are not completely abandoned.”
“Had dinner at Tava x Kchuch in Dilijan—food came quickly, piping hot, and tasted fantastic (salad was excellent too). After leaving, I realized I’d forgotten my backpack with important documents. Staff member Anahid went above and beyond to locate it and arrange safe delivery to Yerevan. Huge thanks to her and the management for such outstanding service. I’ll definitely return and recommend this place to all my friends.”
“Coming from Paris, we wanted to have lunch in Tava, let me be clear and clear: FOOD: OK SERVICE: 0 I'll never come back to a place with such catastrophic Service.”

“The worst service we've ever experienced. The QR code menu was incomplete — many dishes available in the kitchen were missing from the menu. The waiters had zero knowledge about the food. We ordered a beef striploin, but instead, we received pork chops. When we asked to replace the dish, the waiter insisted it was beef, not pork. That was strange, because anyone who eats meat can easily tell the difference between pork and beef. I asked the waiter to bring someone else to try and confirm. Then the restaurant’s founder came to our table with the same plate and aggressively tried to convince us it was beef. I kindly asked her to try it herself before making such claims. She replied that she’s vegan or vegetarian and doesn't eat meat — yet she kept insisting it was beef and that they wouldn’t remove it from the bill. I kindly told her that I had no issue paying, but asked that someone else try the dish to confirm, because I didn’t want to be treated like an idiot or liar. It was a matter of principle for me. She then called her husband (also vegan/vegetarian 😄) and finally an honest staff member, who agreed to taste the meat. After trying it, he confirmed that it was indeed pork. However, the founder began yelling at the honest staff member, saying she didn’t believe him and that it was beef. She returned to our table and told us never to come back. I strongly advise avoiding this restaurant if you don’t want to deal with aggression and a delusional founder. A big thanks to the honest guy — I sincerely hope he finds a better job soon.”
“We kept coming back to Tava for the good food but on a busy night we were met with an exceptionally bad service. I added a dish to our order slightly after we had ordered everything else. After an hour of waiting I asked where it was and the waiter admitted that he had forgotten it. I then asked to add it to the order and he said I would have to wait for another half an hour because the oven is busy. I was furious but because I really needed food as a breastfeeding mother, I asked what can be brought quicker. The waiter told me that all the cold dishes are quicker, so I ordered a salad. Half an hour wait and still no salad and I couldn't stay any longer due to having a small child. We were a group of 5 and I had to leave the table hungry, as I couldn't have any of the other dishes we ordered. No apologies from the waiter, no attempts to make up for it.”
“Slow service and bad food. Waiters are not customer oriented at all. We were smoking outsitde, near the door, away from tables and she told us not to smoke here. When we asked where else to smoke (it was heavy raining half step away) she looked at us with surprized eyes like its all the same to me and answered nothing.”
