“Average prices, pretty good service. Nice and comfy place. Tasty food, especially liked their borsch. Would visit this place again for sure.”

“We liked this place. The food was good. The beer was good. The dessert was good. Service was nice and pleasant. Only reason for lower rating is a tourist beware for other English speakers. This was one of three places that tried to put an extra beer on our bill. I brought it up with them and they removed it. But seems to happen more times than probable so I think it is a running scam among bars and restaurants in Yerevan. It happens literally all over the world so everyone should be checking their bills always.”

“Big and Tasty is the signature dish of the restaurant - a large burger at a price of about $10. I decided I had to try it out. Asked for the burger to be medium rare meaning some blood in the middle - I have to admit that the meat patty was cooked as I requested. (I ordered in Russian as I wasn't convinced that the waiter would understand "medium rare.") However, overall I did not enjoy "the big and tasty" burger for the following reasons: The bun was not toasted leading to the bread getting very mushy and soggy even eating it in the restaurant -- as take away, it would have been very unappetizing slop. The bun was too large and "bready" relative to the size of the patty. The circumference of the bun exceeded that of the patty significantly and the top part of the bun was also too high and "doughy." I would have much preferred a leaner, smaller bun with seeds on top. The big and tasty came with a melted slice of cheese, which I did not like. Nor was the fact that the big and tasty coming with cheese indicated on the menu. The cheese used was not delicious. Might let the customer know that cheese is being used and even give the customer a choice: to elect cheese or not, and, if so, even which cheese. Much prefer Swiss or mozzarella and, since mozzarella is used on the pizzas served, surely that could have been an option. The ample amount of liquid supplied over and under the patty was not to my taste. The liquid for the most part consisted of ketchup, but, call me eccentric, I do not like (use) ketchup on burgers. Why cannot the customer choose whatever the customer likes, be it whatever, mayo, ketchup or mustard, or just dry? After all, the chef is not eating the burger - the customer is. A lot of these issues could have been resolved if the description on the menu of what the customer is getting would have been thorough without missing key details. Another case in point is the pizza Prosciutto e Funghi. I was surprised to find out that the pizza comes with black olives. Unfortunately, I do not like olives on pizza and, accordingly, had to pick these off the pizza, which otherwise was very good. Why not write on the menu ALL the toppings so a customer might indicated preference against using any such topping not of his/her liking? Tasty thin-crust pizza is on offer. Cheese on pizza (mozzarella and gouda) ample and tasty. Toppings are fresh. However, the pizza that we particularly ordered had ordinary Armenian ham ("vetchina") and not prosciutto - hence, "prosciutto e fungi" is a misnomer. Nonetheless, that ham was delicious. Anyway, there is ample room for improvement at this restaurant on the culinary level. Nice large clean bathroom on the second floor but would behoove to check when the soap dispenser runs out. Located astride the park housing Vernissage, the restaurant is brightly lit at night with, however, "Grand Opening" and "And" (rather than "Big" / "Tasty" ) being particularly noticeable at a distance. We iniially missed the place.”

“We found this restaurant when we were visiting the market. After a week of being served slowly in Yerevan, and often after locals who had ordered after us had been served, Big and Tasty was awesome. Kind and friendly waitress and waiters, very good service, and we got our food rather quickly. I was really grateful to be treated so well and to not have to worry to eat! Staff spoke English. Many options on the menu, and for an American it was all very affordable (as with most prices in Yerevan). Highly recommended. Shnorhakalutyun!”

“It is excellent restaurant in the heart of Yerevan. Food was delicious and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant is immaculately clean. Moreover the restaurant is some 30% cheaper than those in the Republic Square just 200 meters away from it. During our 7 days stay we visited several restaurants and I can assure that the “Big and Tasty” was the best one.”
