“A five-star experience overall, with a very well-maintained and beautiful venue, soft music playing in the background, excellent hospitality, food, price, and the little touches that make all the difference, such as water at the table and complimentary desserts at the end of the meal. All the dishes were excellent, and we Italians are always a bit picky about food; the owner was a sweetheart! If we had stayed in the city for more than a day, we would have definitely returned to this restaurant several times to try other dishes. A five-star experience overall. Armenian cuisine (prepared from fresh ingredients every day) as well as Western favourites like tacos and freshly made soups. The freshly made artisan bread is exquisite. Restaurant is a testament to the vision of the mayor’s wife who runs it.”

“Finally, an excellent restaurant has just opened in downtown Yeghegnadzor․ Akn Arevi, which means “Sun Source” is located across the street from the Post Office and the Governor’s office building. The owner/operator, Armineh, is a very friendly person who greeted me and introduced herself. She is surrounded by relatives who work with her. Her daughter speaks good English. The menu, written on a chalk board, changes every day and covers dishes for vegetarians and for meat lovers. I had a fresh-made vegetarian burger dish (see photo). It was perfect, served piping hot with the taste of components (peas, lentils, beans and sesame) it would make any vegetarian salivate. I also had a tasty tomato-cucumber salad and some French baguette and a Lowenbrau beer. It came to 3,000 AMD. They have about 10 tables in an impeccable inside dining room, I sat outside (2 tables) to enjoy the beautiful Octobre sun in Yeghegnadzor . I noticed a piano inside. The owner explained that she is a piano player and she teaches piano. I look forward to coming in the evening and listen to her play. One other thing, this café-restaurant accepts all credit cards and has 2, perfectly kept modern toilets, one for men and one for women..”
