Excursion tour Garni-Geghard

Excursion tour with the route Yerevan-Garni-Geghard-Yerevan: the average duration is about 5 hours, 80km. During the tour we will visit the only survived pagan temple of Garni I BC., where the ruins of the king’s summer residence are also preserved. The Garni Temple is located above the gorge with its remarkable amazing slopes, which consist of regular hexagonal basalt prisms, which is called the Symphony of Stones. Further, if desired, we will stop for lunch in the village of Geghard, in a restaurant of national cuisine with picturesque views to the Khosrov Reserve. Then we will visit the unique Monastery complex carved into the rock  Geghardavank IV century, where the lance, by which the Christ was pierced was deposited.
